The Butterfly Effect

It has been said that when a butterfly moves its wings that movement can be felt in distant places.

What this means at a practical level is that what we all do in our own personal lives has impacts which extend much further than our immediate environments. This has been illustrated quite vividly over recent weeks with the unrest in Egypt spilling over into other neighbouring countries such as Bahrain and Libya. There is evidence to suggest that we are so interconnected that what we think and do somehow is picked up by others connected to the same frequency. This makes sense when you consider that everything at its most basic level is just energy vibrating at different frequencies. Its a bit like tuning into a radio station.

We are all connected with each other. So if we wish to play our part in achieving world peace then bringing peace into our personal lives is the most important step that we can take. We need to BE the change that we wish to see. Many have over a long period of time fallen into the trap of assuming that the only way to change what is happening in the world is to band together and start movements in opposition to what we want to change. When we oppose anything we resist what is and make it stronger. When we surrender to what is and live the change that we want to see we not only empower ourselves but empower change on a larger scale.

What frequencies are you choosing to tune into and in turn what signals are you broadcasting to others? Food for thought!

A Port in a Storm

A sailing ship drifts into the harbour battered and torn from its travels.

It ties up to the inviting jetty – safe at last from gale and choppy sea. Welcoming arms embrace all.

A time to rest the weary head upon the lie of land.

Seeking solace and reprovision many days come and go and still the captain and crew have no intent to depart safe harbour. They ignore the growing feeling of restlessness within and reject the lure of adventure and treasure on the distant horizon.

Should they stay too long and sleep away the live long day they may recline at ease for a time protracted. One day they will awaken to discover their ship has sailed without them and they have been left stranded in a familiar yet unchanging land where they will repose for the rest of their lives assured that they will remain undisturbed by a change in the weather.

This self-penned short poem of sorts can be a reminder that we can often fall prey to marking time too often in a place of safety and security. Remember that the fruit is out on the limb and if we want to explore our truth then we have to be prepared to weather the occasional storm as we journey the sea of life in search of our treasure.

“Don’t lose yourself in the labrynth of self pity in the maze of your own guilt. Call yourself forth to the next grandest version of the greatest vision you ever held about Who You Are.” “Never think that your life is over but know that each day, each hour, each moment is another beginning, another opportunity, another chance to re-create yourself anew” – ND Walsch

Living Separate Lives

We can no more live our lives separate from each other and our source than a droplet of water can exist separate from a river or ocean.

Yet we humans behave as if we are all alone and unconnected with each other. We act as if it is us against them, that our beliefs are better than theirs, that we are in opposition to everyone else and that our individual interests are paramount. We see this throughout the world when terrorists declare their cause to be divinely inspired and in God’s or Allah’s name indiscriminantly kill and maim innocent people.

We see this also when countries decide that as the self-proclaimed ‘good guys” attack and invade other countries regardless of the ensuing loss of life. We see this in our communities and our relationships when we conspire to put our personal interests ahead of the greater collective good. Continue reading

Fat Valley of Pain

The title to this article refers to that part of our cellular memory and remnant energy that forms what is known as the “pain body”. This is where we have subconsciously stored away from sight deep within us our memory and interpretations of all those events that we experienced which we have classified as bad and which make us feel “yucky”.

The feelings we experience as a consequence of these events can be called “pain”. Yet only linear time contains the residue of these past feelings of pain and they can only form part of our present if we identify ourselves with them.

The “pain body’ remains dormant within us until triggered by an experience which our subconscious mind identifies as containing a similar energy pattern as the memory stored within us. It is the resonance of these energy patterns which starts an automatic reaction within us. Some of the “pain body’ energies are harmless – others can be destructive forces which are physically and emotionally abusive to others.  Continue reading
