The Power of Relationship

We can only know who we are through our relationship with other people and things and how we relate to ourselves is how we also relate to others.

The generally accepted standard model for relationships seems to be all about control and causes power struggles fuelled by the need to feel more secure within the egoic frameworks we have constructed for ourselves.

The whole idea that by marrying someone or entering into a long term committed relationship with them you can feel secure through making  that other person your personal possession and seeking to keep that person imprisoned by your definition of who they are is a nonsense and contrary to what true love and life is all about. Be that which you want in life!

We have said it before yet it is still relevant today. Happiness is an inside job. Nothing external to us can bring long term happiness.

This goes hand in hand with the principle that if you want to manifest change in your life and the world then you must BE that change NOW! If you seek love then you must first express and give love to others. If you seek happiness you must express happiness to others. This applies to anything of substance that you seek in your life.

Unfortunately we have been taught the opposite of this principle of living – we have been taught that we can only give away what we seek when we have first received it ourselves. This of course ensures that we rarely if at all get what we desire. Continue reading
