The articles contained in this short book are as much a social commentary on everyday life as they are aimed at inspiring, encouraging and supporting others to live and embrace their own unique potential – to live life to the fullest, to live the lives they have always dreamed of and to be the best that they can possibly be.
The ultimate aim of this book is to spark conversation about what is happening on a personal and global scale in the world today. It is easy to sit back and complain about stuff we don’t like but it requires effort to do something to make a difference. We can all make a difference by taking small steps in our own lives and exploring our own true potential.
Most of the articles were stimulated by observations about news events or personal experiences. There is a genuine shortage of healthy debate about many issues which we gloss over because we are too busy working to survive and we have little energy for anything else particularly stuff that doesn’t immediately impact on us because it is happening half way around the world in a different country and involving different cultures.
The theme that threads its way through many of these articles is that in truth we are all connected to each other and to something bigger than ourselves. It is when we live uncaring and contracted lives that we forget who we really are – spiritual beings having a human existence. Yet most of us have forgotten this and why we came into this physical realm.
Instead of experiencing life through the four levels of existence – spirit, mind, emotions and body we have become focussed on living solely at the mental and physical levels ignoring our emotional heart based guidance system and spiritual connection. This explains the loneliness and lack of meaning many of us feel in our lives.
I encourage you to take time to reflect on your life and life in general and see what you can do each day to live in a more holistic and connected way. If you do you will in short order notice big improvements in many areas of your life. I hope these articles will be a catalyst for this happening.
